Q: What is the process for obtaining approval for fencing?

A: Just send us all an email with a description of your fence, proposed color, materials description of materials (pipe type & size), and a photo of what it will look like, if possible (pictures are worth a thousand words!).  Please state whether the materials you will be using are new (the DCCRs require that new materials be used). Please also include a map of your lot, and show us where you propose the fence to go.  We find that a map with a colored drawing of where the fence will be helps.

Q:  I have a ditch on my property (other than the one along the EPHOA maintained roads) can I modify it? 

A:  Yes it is allowed, if you have permission from the State Engineer's Office.  You have several options: 

 1.) Contact the Wyoming State Engineer's Office (SEO) in Sheridan and ask to speak with the Ditch Rider for that ditch.  The Ditch Rider will tell you what diameter of culvert that they require you install. 

2.) If nobody uses the ditch anymore, it may be possible to have the SEO declare the ditch abandoned.  If you are successful doing that, you can fill-in the ditch or put in whatever size culvert that you want.  But the SEO abandonment process is fairly involved.
